Technical fibers in the textile sector are mainly used for protective clothing, industrial fabrics, and high performance composites because of their strength, heat resistance, and durability.

Key applications are as follows : 

• Protective Clothing : Firefighter suits, military uniforms, and industrial workwear use meta-aramid because of its soft fabric yet high in strength for flame and abrasion resistance.
• Ballistics : These are also used in the production of  bulletproof vests, stab proof vests, and helmets, protecting soldiers from bullets and other attacks.
• Industrial Textiles : These are also used as reinforcement fabrics in conveyor belts, ropes, and sealing gaskets.
• Other Applications :  It is also used in ropemaking, mattresses, filters, belts and papers.
